On his way, history records, that Indonesia led by a head of state who run the government, the president. There are 6 common name of the president who is known as a leader during the reign of the Homeland. They are:

1. Sukarno (1945-1966)

2. Suharto (1966-1998)

However, there are two presidents name is forgotten by the history of Indonesia. The names are forgotten just it, is Sjafruddin Prawiranegara who was president at Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PDRI), from the date of December 22, 1948 until July 13, 1949 , and Mr. Assaat temporarily assume the office of President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in the period December 27, 1949 until August 15, 1950 , after Roundtable Conference (KMB) .

Two of the president's name is a name that is not recorded in the history of Indonesia, probably due to negligent, but may also be deliberate with specific reasons.


Sjafruddin Prawiranegara , Presidential Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PDRI) , the period of December 22, 1948 until July 13, 1949



Sjafruddin Prawiranegara ever concurrently served as President of the minister of defense, lighting, and overseas ad interim at the Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PDRI), which was formed to save the government of Indonesia.

At that time, the Netherlands has just launched military aggression to-2 , on December 19, 1948, in the capital of the Republic of Indonesia which was then based in Yogyakarta. The Dutch hold the President and Vice President at the time, Soekarno-Hatta.

Emergency Government was proclaimed December 22, 1948 in the village of Pages, about 15 Kilometers from Payakumbuh.
